Softer and more tea-rose than our Guaiacwood acetate - though these products are frequently confused on the internet.

Despite being sold as IFF as simply "Guaiyl Acetate", this product is a complex mixture of sesquiterpenes and related reaction products from Bulnesia Sarmientoi. So while the supplied CAS is 94333-88-7 and is referred to as "Guaiyl Acetate", this is synechdoche, a bit like saying you want to "get a new set of wheels" to refer to a new car. Guaiyl Acetate the molecule (1-methyl-1-((3S,8S)-1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8-octahydro-3,8-dimethylazulen-5-yl)ethylacetate) only occurs at about 30% in this product, but is joined by Bulnesyl acetate at ~50% (more rosy than Guayl acetate) and a whole array of interesting and unexpected traceries like beta ionone, Methoxyvinyl Phenol, Isoeugenol, dihydro Agarofuran, Agarospriol and so on.
